Dramatic  Mezzosoprano Vera Egorova, hailed by the press for her "beautiful, warm, round voice, which is pacable to sing lyric phrases as excellent as cope with the huge version outburst", for her "excellent Italian technique", her "overwhelming and captivating stage presence"   and her "intense interpretations" is since the 2024/25 season a part-time-member of the Ensemble at Oper Wuppertal, where she made her debuts in the parts of MARTHE SCHWERTELIN in Gounod's "Faust", MUTTER GERTRUD  in Humperdinck's "Hänsel & Gretel" and FRIEDA RIEMER in "Kissed by Thalia - a Wuppertal Revue" witm music vobyn a.o. Lehár and Künnecke.
In addition, she made her house-debuts as SUZUKI in Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" at theDen Jyske Opera Århus und am Det Kongelige Opera / Gamle Scenen in Copenhagen and as FATA MORGANA in Prokofjev's "L'Amour des 3 Orages" at the Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater Flensburg, FATA MORGANA and OLD LADY in Bernstein's "Candide" also at the Theater Kiel,  FILIPJEWNA in Tchaikovsky’s „Jewgenji Onegin" at the Staatsoper Hannover and the Theater Klagenfurt, BRANGÄNE in Wagner's "Tristan & Isolde" at Staatstheater Cottbus; and as FRICKA in Wagner's "Das Rheingold" and ALTE WÄCHTERIN in Lubchenko's WORLD-PREMIERE "Wir" she returned as guest to theTheater Regensburg ,where she previously was a member of the ensemble.
 
There, she appeared in the Verdi-parts of AMNERIS in “Aida”, ULRICA in “Un Ballo in Maschera”, FENENA in “Nabucco” und MADDALENA in “Rigoletto”;  
in the title-part of Bizet’s CARMEN, as BABA THE TURK in Stravinsky’s “The Rake’s Progress”, 3. DAME in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”, ALISA in Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor", HERODIAS in R. Strauss’ “Salome”, with the  ALTP-PART in Bach’s staged “h-moll-messe”, PEPA in Enrique Granados’ “Goyeskas”, TIGRANA in Puccini’s “Elgar”, ZITA in “Gianni Schicchi” and SUZUKI in “Madama Butterfly", LUCIA TETRALUCI in Eggert’s “Freax”, GERTRUD in Marschner’s “Hans Heiling” and BARBARA in Janacek’s “Katja Kabanova”. Furthermore, in the Wagner-roles of MARY in “Der Fliegende Holländer”, FARZANA in and “Die Feen“  der BRANGÄNE in  “Tristan & Isolde”.
For the interpretatio nof this role, she was awarded with the Wagner- Prize of the  Richard-Wagner-Society Regensburg.

In addition, she created in WORLD-PREMIERS the parts of  KUBANICHA and MARINA in Anton Lubchenko’s “Doktor Schiwago”,  the female-main-part of ANNA in Samy Moussa’s “Wüstling – Nach der Wahl ist vor der Wahl” and  of HANNAH ARENDT ALT in Ella Milch-Sheriff’s “Die Banalität der Liebe“
.
 
Due to the Covid-pandemic, several commitments as 3rd Lady in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" had to be cancelled.

Moscow born mezzosoprano Egorova, studied  at the Moscow State Caikovsky Conservatory and the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts, and completed her education at the Academy of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

She gave her Opera-debüt at the Mariinsky Theater St. Petersburg with CARMEN, a part, she also have performed at the Helikon Opera as well as  ANNIO in Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito”, ROSINA in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia“, FLORA in Verdi’s “La Traviata”, OLGA in Caikovsky’s “Eugen Onegin“ and LYUBOV KOCHUBEY in “Mazeppa”,  FRUGOLA in Puccini’s “Il Tabarro“,  KRISTA in Janacek’s “Vec Markropulos”, LYUBASHA / DYUNASHA in Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Tsarskaya nevesa” and NEIGHBOUR in Igor Stravinsky’s “Mavra", which she also sang at the Opera Perm.

At the Theater Zazerkalie St. Petersburg she appeared as DORABELLA in Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte”, NICKLAUSSE in Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffman”, FJODOR in Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunow”,  as POLINA and ALTE THE OLD COUNTESS GRÄFIN in Caikovsky’s “Pikowaja Dama”; CHIVRYA in Mussogsky’s “Sorotshindskaya Jarmarka” and NADEJDA in Rimsky-Kosakov’s “Boyarinya Vea Sheloga” let her to the Gitis Theater Moscow; and MADDALENA in Verdi’s „Rigoletto“ to the Theatro da Paz Opera Festival in Belèm, Brazil.

In addition, she sang numerous Song-Recitals, Opera-Galas, among others Borodin’s “Bogatyri” and Caikovsky’s “Iolanta”, and Oratoria-Concerts with works such as Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater”, Beethoven’s “C-Dur-Messe”, Mendelssohn’s “Eliah”, Haydn’s “Nelson-Messe” orMozart’s “Große Messe in c-moll” in Finnland, Norway, Russia and Sveden.

In 2009, the young singer gave an highly acclaimed and celebrated debut as ANGELINA in Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” at the Mariinsky Theater, and repeated this overwhelming success also at theBolshoi Theatre Moscow, the Novaya Opera Moscow, the Zazerkalie Theater St. Petersburg and later also in  Regensburg.
Teherupon, the Marrinsky Theater immediately offered her a 2nd Rossini-Part: ISABELLA in “L’Italiana in Algeri”.
For her interpretation of this part, Mrs. Egorova received the “Golden Soffitte”,  the most important Russian theater award.

The mezzosoprano had the pleasure to work with renowned conductors and stage directors such as Tetsuro Ban, Pavel Bubelnikov, Michael Güttler, Israel Gursky, Teodor Kurentzis, Enriche Mazzola, Alexander Polyanichko, Vladimir Ponkin, Gennady Rozhdestvensky or Tugan Sokhiev,  and with Andreas Baelser, Jochen Biganzoli, Brigitte Fassbaender, Hendrik Müller or Itay Tiranz.

Vera Egorova was a winner and prizewinner at numerous international competitions. Among others, she won the 1st Prize at the Elena Obraszova Competition and the Bella Voce Competition; and also was a Scholarship-holder of the International Competition Program “La Romance Russe” (UNESCO, Paris). 
Since several year, now Mrs Egorova teaches  masterclasses herself, in Russia and Italy.
